Wed. Nite.

I just arrived home from a quick trip to Tallahassee to attend Aunt Lela's funeral.  Terry and Todd were both their as well for Mom and Dad.   I know they enjoyed having all three of us there for a visit and the support.   The service was very nice.  The Minister told a lot of history about Aunt Lela's life and growing up on the farm.  She had to get up before daylight and her and Uncle Roy had to cut the firewood and get the woodburning stove going so Granny could cook breakfast.  Linda had an old family picture of all of Dad's brother's and sisters as young kids.  It was odd.  Dad looked to be about five or six.   My grandfather looked quite gruff??  Granny had black hair, middle aged and looked frazled.   Odd seeing them in their afternoon years.

Anyway.  The there were lots of family members there and I got to see Aunt Delores too which was good since I haven't seen her this whole year.  She looked good and still as with it as ever.   Terry's face had a number of age spots which was quite scary looking!!! 55??   Funny Todd is almost totally gray.  The youngest and the only one of us with gray hair (that shows.)

After getting back to the house my two brothers and parents sat around to talk for about 30 minutes before I had to go.   All Terry wanted to talk about was Hunter and all Todd wanted to talk about was the old people we grew up in church with that I couldn't remember from the man in the moon or the Restarant.   It was quite odd with Todd.   His voice gets louder and louder and he says less and less of anything important.  Seems to ramable on about nothing that anyone cares about.  Shows what a narrow range of life he has experienced always living right there in Tallahassee.  Actually I feel sorry for him with his dead relationship with Lori.   Seem like he still has to pretend to be the big man always bragging about his cooking and restarant work.   I'm not jeolous but he does toot his horn quiet a bit.

Dad seems to do ok but just moving slooowwwlllyyy.   Guess that's ok since he's the last one in his family living.  Must be very hard.  Mom getting the email about Uncle Danny's wife couldn't have been easy but she did what she always does, but it behind her and enjoyed the time with all of us.  Got to give her a call now and see how she is doing.

When I got home Cindy was asleep and still sleeping now (8pm.)   I went into Bradley's room and he said he didn't miss me it had only been one day.  Seemed unfazed now that he has Emily.  ??

Glad to be home I guess.  Good midweek break.  But would be nice to be missed by someone in my own household.   I guess those are the hardest people to please or serve.
